A British con artist named Lawrence Jameson lives on the French riviera.  He and his assistant, Andre Thibault swindle wealthy women.  Freddy Benson, an American con artist arrives and also starts swindling these women.  The two become partners but then decide that the French Riviera isn’t big enough for both of them.  So, they decide that the first one to swindle $50,000 from a naïve American heiress named Christine Colgate will get to stay and the other must leave town.  he show ends with a surprising twist and the 2 veteran con artists learning a lesson about their own greed.
