A British con artist named Lawrence Jameson lives on the French riviera.  He and his assistant, Andre Thibault swindle wealthy women.  Freddy Benson, an American con artist arrives and also starts swindling these women.  The two become partners but then decide that the French Riviera isn’t big enough for both of them.  So, they decide that the first one to swindle $50,000 from a naïve American heiress named Christine Colgate will get to stay and the other must leave town.  Christine, however, is not who she seems.  She is also a con artist who has been playing both of them.  She takes all their money and disappears.  Despite losing their fortune, the two men realize that their friendship is more important.  The show ends with them learning a lesson about their own greed.
